he June 2, 2022 election campaign was Scott’s first. Though the campaign team was small, the PC Party of Ontario was well represented in Ottawa Centre. The third place finish was not what Scott had hoped for, but it was not because of a lack of effort; as anyone who canvassed with Scott can attest. Scott remains committed to elevating the PC Party’s presence in Ottawa Centre in the coming years.
Thank you to everyone in Ottawa-Centre who came out and voted for me and Doug Ford yesterday.
Yes, it is heart-breaking to lose after working so hard to share the exciting Progressive Conservative plan to build Ontario and “Get it Done” for families and businesses across this province.
I knocked on thousands of doors and met with so may amazing Ottawa Centre residents over the past month and I enjoyed every minute of the campaign. Thank for taking the time to share your ideas and concerns with me and to everyone who voted for me – I sincerely appreciate your support.
I was inspired by the support I received and by the hard work ad dedication of my team to do everything we could to show voters that the PC plan is strong, effective and the right choice for all of Ontario.
We took on a huge challenge as PCs in Ottawa Centre and I’m proud of the campaign that we ran and the conversations that we started.
Congratulations to Joel Harden on being re-elected and to Katie Gibbs and Shelby Bertrand for an energetic campaign.
Congratulations to Premier Doug Ford and the PC team for winning a second majority government – even bigger than the first.
Ontario voters are obviously ready to “Get it Done”.
